Recalling religious hymns or chants with the opening vocals, we hear Ross being a low-key hype man for the record, speaking with a much lower energy than most of his fans might be used to. It's a move that was most likely aimed at keeping the cacophonous blend of Fergie's vocals at the front of people's aural experience, however the song is slow to get out of the gate as a result. You'd expect something with both of the artists on it to be a banger of sorts, but the intro to the collaboration is anything but.
There's really no telling what Fergie has in store but, if 2016 is any indication, she hasn't lost her touch in any way. The song "M.I.L.F.$" that she dropped last year was an ambitious, club-ready track that, despite its musical strong suits, wasn't quite able to break into the mainstream radio scene and make a lasting mark, as I'm sure was the hope. Overall, fans are definitely excited for her upcoming Double Dutchess album and "Hungry" might be a big reason why actually. There's an experimental edge to this one that should peak the interests of what other tricks she may have in store for us. Review By Hot New Hiphop
