SOFI TUKKER - Baby I'm A Queen (Official Video)

... SOFI TUKKER are out with their brand new video for their latest song, “Baby I’m A Queen.” In the clip, we see the two members, Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, attend a children's beauty pageant. They sit in the audience as they watch and sing to the kids up on stage, some owning it and some struggling. We also see the duo up on that same shiny stage performing their song, dressed in glitzy costumes. Around the second half of the video, they're pouring royal blue paint all over themselves as they sing and dance with the children.

The video is equally as powerful as the music that comes with it - an almost 4 minute-long avant-pop song that gets the feet moving and the self-confidence rising. As Hawley-Weld douses herself in paint and glitter, plays pretend guitar on a trophy, and sings “I might prefer crying to being composed, I might prefer chaos to even flow,” amongst a sea of awesome children, you really can't help but think “yeah, she is a queen.”

The group's debut album, fittingly entitled Treehouse, is set to arrive on April 13th. This article originally appeared in Baeble Music.
