The Him - I Wonder (Official Video) ft. LissA

“a duo whose name is ascending” – Dancing Astronaut

Amsterdam production duo The Him (Jeroen Kerstens & Steven Berghuijs) are fast becoming ones to watch with tracks like ‘Feels Like Home’, ‘Don’t Leave Without Me’ and ‘Balance’ notching up a combined 50 million streams online, and official remixes for the likes of The Chainsmokers, Rudimental, Martin Garrix feat. Bebe Rexha and Shift K3y settling the blogs alight.

With a growing following and support from a host of notable international DJs and producers including Tiësto, Pete Tong, Felix Jaehn, Oliver Heldens, Kygo, Don Diablo, The Chainsmokers and Sam Feldt, the pair now return with a new future classic in the form of new single ‘I Wonder’ featuring 23-year-old rising star LissA. This latest effort sees The Him further refining their sound with a dynamic arrangement featuring an elaborate blend of melodic elements, ranging from synths to vocal chops, a catchy broken beat groove, and an overall feel-good vibe to enhance German newcomer LissA’s irresistible vocals. Suddenly summer doesn’t seem quite so far away.

With almost 80,000 followers on Soundcloud, The Him are undoubtedly Holland’s hottest new export. The duo cite Daft Punk, Duke Dumont, Empire of the Sun and The Chemical Brothers as just some of their many influences, all coming together to form an infectious union of fresh, experimental sounds bound to make you move and keep you wanting more.

While a newer name on these shores, The Him’s recent support slot with The Chainsmokers on last year’s UK & European tour earned them a legion of new fans, and with bangers like ‘I Wonder’ in their arsenal it’s clear they won’t be a new name for long. Review By music-house.co.uk
